Clarion Teen rewarded for its web design project ::

CLARION, Pa. – Riverview IU6 recently held a regional virtual media and design competition, formerly known as Computer Fair.

The annual May competition highlights the integration of digital media and design into the classroom and recognizes student achievement.

Students are able to unleash their creativity, dynamically convey information, apply state standards, and collaborate to create innovative projects.

After spending months creating his project, Prakhar Singh of Clarion Area High School participated in web page design and was awarded a blue ribbon and the opportunity to attend the States Competition at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Erika Cathcart was Singh’s teacher and advisor for this project.

The contest judge was Clarion University web designer/developer Adam Reynolds.

The Media and Design Challenge is coordinated annually by the Riverview Middle Unit #6 Educational Programs Department and is available to all private and public schools and home school students in the Riverview IU #6 area.

There are six categories in which students can compete: 3D design, animation, digital film, logo and graphic design, programming and web page design.
